Job title: Offshore Subsea Completion Engineer

Location: Malta
Contractual period: One year Contract.
Position responsibilities:
- Design subsea well completions and well intervention s to meet the objective of the wells projects and in accordance to governing regulations and clients processes and procedures.
- Prepare relevant input to basis of design, main completion programs, completion activity programs, D&C part of the PDOs, risk assessments, budget cost estimates. AFE's. handover documentation and final well reports.
- Follow up delivery of Subsea Completion related equipment
- Follow up interfaces between subsea and D&W activities with Project team, including interface testing and deliveries, FIT and SIT tests.
- Implement well integrity throughout planning and execution phase.
- Follow up and QA/QC subsea and completion supplier's services, stud ies and equipment deliveries.
- Ensure lessons learned are incorporated into the designs.
- Monitor, report and follow up subsea completion operation performance.
- Ensure full integration of the D&C subsea system with: MODU subsea equipment (i.e. BOP equipment), ROY equipment and associated interfaces, Subsea production system (SPS) architecture and associated interfaces (i.e. SURF).
- Onshore duty and Offshore work and follow up as required.
- Contribute to improve management processes and guidelines/procedures for well operations.
- Provide technical input and evaluation to tenders and contracts as required.
- Comply and follow up the MOC process (Management of Change).
- Ensure interface work towards other departments (project, engineering, facility, Subsurface, etc.) is followed up.
- Participate in audits and verifications of partners and contractors.
- Follow up relevant parts of partner operated projects on request.
- Support/ train junior engineers as required.
- Ensures that all subsea completion activities comply with company standards and governmental regulations.
- Provides completions input to team and well engineering delivery objectives as necessary.
- Provide input into the specification of subsea completion, well testing and well intervention related equipment and services in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensures that all work within the area of responsibility is adequately documented and lessons learned are captured for the benefit of future company operations.
- Assist in the preparations of HSE Plans if/where required.
- Participate in operation s risk assessments and pre-job planning meetings.
- Assist with the evaluation of rig and 3rd party services for hazards and operational integrity and suitability.
- Participate in the hazard identification process
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant education.
- Experience in Offshore Completion/Well Intervention/Subsea completion operations.
- Relevant experience and sound technical understanding of planning and execution of Subsea drilling and completion s operation s.
- Relevant experience with planning and execution of Subsea project/field development is desired.
- Relevant offshore experience.
- Good knowledge of regulation s and relevant oi l field standards.
- Experience with clean up/well testing operations is desired.
- Experience with contract management and tender evaluation.
- Knowledge of subsea completion well planning and execution software
- Personal qualities creative, open, responsible and entrepreneurial are desired.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Good communicating skills
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
- Good commercial understanding.
- Travels offshore must be expected.
- The assignment will start ASAP and is scheduled to last one year.
