Job title: Lead Mechanical Engineer

Location: Tripoli Office (City Based), Libya
Contractual period: One year employment - renewable.
Work Cycle: 65 working days on - 21 days off.
Working Hours: 6 days a week - 8 hours a day
Required qualifications and skills:
- Minimum 18 years work experience in oil & gas industry
- Lead the Mechanical Engineering activities in accordance with Project/Proposal requirements within the assigned budget, time schedule and quality standards
- Must be responsible for design and approval of all work on assigned projects including preparation and approval of project related standards.
- Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used meet the Client’s requirements and those established internally.
- Prepare and approve general notes requisitions for equipment. Review and approve all drawings, check design quality and technical accuracy.
- Specify and prepare material requisitions for equipment and help to prepare technical bid evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with all Project interfaces and supervise in/out information flow regarding mechanical discipline
- Review of Process Data and supplier documentation for integration within Project design, such as GA/Details/Calculations/Fabrication Procedures
- Preparation of Equipment Technical Specifications, such as Specification and Mechanical Data Sheets, for Enquiry Preparation of Equipment Technical
- Sound working knowledge in rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.), static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, etc.), mounted skid packages, piping systems and stress analysis.
- Must have experience with well-known and reputable Engineering and Consultant firms.
- Must have some work experience in Oil & Gas production and operating companies.
- He must have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from accredited university.
- He must have sound computer skills.
- Should be familiar with N. America codes and Standards such as API, ASME, ANSI and other industry related standards.
- Should have excellent communications skills and provide mechanical data as an input to other disciplines.
