Job title: Lead HSE Engineer
Position Ref.: HSENG-02
Location: Tripoli Office (City Based), Libya
Contractual period: One year employment - renewable.
Work Cycle: 65 working days on - 21 days off.
Working Hours: 6 days a week - 8 hours a day

Required qualifications and skills:

• Minimum 18 years work experience in oil & gas industry
• Sound working knowledge in HSE engineering.
• Ensure that the overall HSE activities are met in a quality manner.
• Plans, directs, controls and supervises the activities of a team of professional Safety, Loss prevention and Environment engineers to ensure full implementation of the division’s HSE programs and procedures.
• Ensure compliance by all parties with COMPANY’s HSE requirements and regulations.
• Plans and ensures the development & implementation of high standard HSE Management systems with an objective to excel in all HSE aspects and ensures sustainable performance in line with all relevant legislations and Code of Practices.
• To ensure compliance by all parties with company’s objectives, requirements, priorities, policies, procedures, standards, rules, regulations and guidelines provided for projects.
• Provides essential technical HSE advice and guidance to Management on major issues and ensures awareness of latest development in HSE laws, standards, regulations and their impact/implementation in the Company.
• Liaises with Senior Management to develop and prepares Company HSE annual objectives and Leading/Lagging Key Performance Measures.
• Provides HSE technical advises to all sites management and directs the initiations of HSE audits and monitors effective implementation of all pending actions.
• Must have experience with well-known and reputable Engineering and Consultant firms.
• Must have some work experience in Oil & Gas production and operating companies.
• Must have degree in safety, health, environmental, technical, scientific, or related engineering field from an accredited university.
