Job title: Lead Electrical Engineer

Location: Tripoli Office (City Based), Libya
Contractual period: One year employment - renewable.
Work Cycle: 65 working days on - 21 days off.
Working Hours: 6 days a week - 8 hours a day
Required qualifications and skills:
- Minimum 18 years work experience in oil & gas industry
- Supervise, lead and guide project team(s) to design and build within safety, quality, scope, quantity, cost, schedule and productivity targets.
- Design and develop Single line diagrams, Schematics, Wiring diagrams, cable schedules and panel board schedule
- Interface with Project Management and Client and liaise with other project discipline
- Prepare Electrical Equipment Specifications, Data Sheets, Purchase Requisitions and Bid evaluations for Switchgear, Transformers, power panels, MCCs and other electrical infrastructure equipment as required
- Assist in preparation of power system cost estimates and defining scopes of work for project design and study proposals
- Work with electrical engineers, technologists and designers to provide electrical design and deliverables to a variety of projects
- Prepare electrical designs, calculations and MTO’s.
- Ability to design a complete electrical system with necessary protection, metering & communication
- Perform Quality Control in order to deliver high quality and consistent design
- Provide consultation/ guidance and mentor less experienced engineers and designers.
- Design, prepare, review and approval of following engineering and design deliverables:
- Scope of work, Design Basis and execution plans.
- Electrical equipment & cable sizing
- Electrical Power Distribution system, load list, one line diagrams.
- Hazardous Area Classification and layouts for substation/ electrical building, power, cable tray, grounding, lighting.
- Schematics and wiring diagrams. Cable/ conduit schedule.
- Specifications, datasheets, Inspection Test plans for electrical equipment, systems and mechanical packages.
- Responsible for Engineering man hour estimates, planning and scheduling, cost control, management of project changes, preparing project / program reports
- Develop project / proposal schedule in accordance with proposal / project documents
- Must have experience with well-known and reputable Engineering and Consultant firms.
- Must have a Degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited university.
- Must have sound computer skills.
- Should be familiar with N. America codes and Standards of electrical field of the oil and gas industry.
- Should be able to review and approve single line diagrams, short circuit and loads calculations, data sheets, electrical drawings and documents with respect to electrical performance and specifications.
- Should have excellent communications skills and Coordinate technical efforts between the electrical team and the other disciplines
